A Film A Day
Before embarking on producing and posting a short film everyday for a year, I came across a book by Malcolm Gladwell titled, “Outliers”, which mentions many times throughout the book a concept known as the 10,000 hour rule. The 10,000 hour rule was derived from a study by Anders Ericsson, a psychologist who researched the success of violinists at the Berlin Academy of Music. Through various scientific studies outlined in the book, it was believed that the key to achieving world-class expertise in any skill, is, to a large extent, a matter of practising the correct way, for a total of around 10,000 hours. It was this book that would set me on a journey to produce one short film a day for 365 days.
If you would like to find out what the experience was like or learn how to shoot a film a day yourself, check out this post where I talk about both.
