Day 13: Small Wins and a Shift in Perspective

Today marked a reset after a couple of challenging days. By scaling back expectations and focusing on progress over perfection, I was able to regain momentum on key tasks while preparing for New Year’s celebrations at the lake.

Tasks for the Day:

  1. Scheduling for the Week: Created a high-level blueprint for the remaining winter break.

  2. Pitch Video Writing: Sent an email to a collaborator with updates and initial thoughts.

  3. Gear Prep for Accountability Videos: Packed and prepared equipment for recording during the trip.

Results:

  • Made progress on scheduling and the pitch video.

  • Stayed focused and adjusted expectations to fit the day’s shorter timeframe.

Lessons from Day 13:

  • Less is More: By reducing the size of the tasks, I was able to make meaningful progress without feeling overwhelmed.

  • Accountability Through Kindness: A gentler approach to my to-do list helped me regain confidence and avoid guilt.

  • Strategic Planning: Recognizing obstacles in advance allowed me to plan my day more effectively.

Looking Ahead:

As I transition into Day 14, I’m embracing smaller, more actionable tasks and focusing on balance. The goal remains consistent: progress, not perfection.
