Day 14: Clarity and Adjusting Course

Today was about finding balance and reevaluating my approach to content creation. While the original plan included scripting a short-form documentary video, exploring an organization series, and responding to a client questionnaire, the day shifted into a reflective opportunity to refine my creative strategy.

Tasks for the Day

  1. Short-Form Documentary Blog Post & Script: Complete the blog post and draft the script for an upcoming video in my how-to series.

  2. Explore an Organization Series: Outline topics for a potential blog and video series on organization and its role in enhancing creativity and productivity.

  3. Respond to Client Questionnaire: Address a client’s social media questionnaire to keep projects moving forward.

Results

What Got Done:

  • Short-Form Documentary Blog Post: Finished the blog post and made significant progress on the video script.

  • Client Questionnaire: Completed and sent back.

  • Content Release Strategy: Launched the second video in the how-to series earlier than planned and adjusted my release strategy for better alignment with my workflow.

What Didn’t Get Done:

  • Organization Series: While initial brainstorming occurred, deeper exploration will need to wait for another day.

Lessons from Day 14

  • Shorter Content Can Have Big Impact: Shifting from broad topics to smaller, bite-sized pieces of content feels more achievable and impactful for social platforms.

  • Balance Matters: Splitting time between family and work continues to be a challenge, but prioritizing clarity in my approach helps me stay grounded.

  • Clarity Combats Negative Self-Talk: Reflecting on my creative values and aligning tasks with those values helps silence the inner critic.

Reflections

Today marked the start of a shift in how I approach content creation. Instead of aiming for large, comprehensive pieces, I’ll focus on crafting smaller, actionable videos that can build into a broader narrative over time. This strategy not only fits better with modern platform demands but also resonates more with my long-term goals.

I’m feeling motivated to revisit my content calendar tomorrow and refine the assets I’ve already prepared. Week Three is just around the corner, and I’m excited to keep this momentum going.
