Day 8: Finding Balance on Christmas Day

Today was a bit different as it was Christmas Day—a time for family and reflection. While the focus was on holiday activities, I made time to take a small but meaningful step toward building momentum for my projects.

Tasks for the Day:

  1. Schedule How-To Video Releases: Create a release plan for the how-to videos and blog posts I finished a couple of weeks ago.

  2. Plan a Regular Release Schedule: Decide on a weekly release cadence and organize the associated social media teasers.

Results:

What Got Done:

  • Created a high-level breakdown for the release schedule.

  • Released the first how-to video today as a way to test the waters and start building consistency.

  • Established a weekly release plan, with new videos coming out every Friday morning.

Reflections on the Day:

Despite the festive distractions, I felt a sense of accomplishment and clarity. Taking time to map out the release strategy helped me align my focus for the coming weeks.

Additionally, I’m beginning to see how these daily accountability check-ins are positively influencing my workflow. They’re helping me make more intentional decisions, stay consistent, and build momentum.

Lessons Learned:

  • Keep It Simple: Instead of overthinking the release strategy, starting with the first video today allowed me to dive in and learn by doing.

  • Stay Present: Balancing work and personal time on a holiday was a reminder to stay grounded and enjoy the moment while still making incremental progress.

I’m feeling energized and focused as I head into Day 9. Looking forward to continuing this momentum into the new year!
